from early concept until handover for production, find support for all stages of development, guaranteeing that you have the best low level design for your application

starting from an existing design or from zero, I can take up the task of designing, selecting components and simulating circuits tailored for your needs
other services include adapting component libraries and footprint models to match your requirements, as well as cleaning up component vaults, improving quality of the files that will be handed for production.

selecting the PCB stack up, designing the layout and handling all the back and forth of information with the manufacturer can be my tasks, aligned with your main goal: time, cost or quality.
design will take into consideration the target technology from the start, reducing the risk of needed redesigns and ensuring that the handover to production occurs seamlessly.

for small prototype quantities, I can offer very fast assembly times, well below the industry standard.
two sided board assemblies are possible to be soldered using a vapor phase reflow process, going down to 0201 footprint and 0.5mm pitch BGA packages.
sourcing of components and needed paste stencils can also be handed over, effectively freeing time on your side, on both engineering and stock management.

facing issues with circuits showing wrong behaviour? it can happen and it can take a long time to correct, specially if they force a board respin.
I can take up the work of debugging the circuit and reworking the boards, reducing the impact of a mistake on the development timeline.

for supporting your development, some code can be prepared by my side. if you require some C code driver for handling a sensor or an actuator, I can develop and deliver the needed firmware already tested in relevant hardware.
lowlevdev is a solo project by gabriel ribeiro. created in january 2024, it aims to support customers developing electronics or embedded solutions. it is located in porto with a fully equipped electronic laboratory from where all of the remote services take place; it does also provide some on-site services, in agreement with the client's needs.
whenever your hw engineers are overworked or somehow unavailable.
whenever deadlines are getting pushed further into the future.
whenever you get surprised by a new blocker.
those are the types of situations where my support can make the most difference.
that would be your decision. if you would like that I pick up a given work package and just deliver it according to spec, that would be possible and would pretty much be like you outsourced the task. however, in hw, normally you don't know what you don't know, so there is risk that requirements change often.
best way to work would be to keep a close collaboration with regular alignment. it will take less time from your engineers and it will make everyone feel safer and confident that the project is going in the right direction.
consider lowlevdev a temporary extra resource on the team. this way the collaboration tends to be significantly better than outsourcing.
typically cooperation would begin with a meeting that aims to answer the following questions:
.what is the current state of development
.what are the pain points you are experiencing
.what is the scope of the tasks that you would like me to handle
.whom should I align with
.what would be a good enough timeline for your needs
hopefully in that meeting I will already be capable of telling you if I can support the development or not. I will only indicate you milestones that I know I can achieve and will only take up tasks that I know I can deliver.
I can start working as soon as I get the 'go-ahead' from your side and you can expect from that point onwards frequent communication.
feel free to send any questions or concerns you might have directly to me via the 'E-MAIL ME' button at the end of the page. I will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible.

electronic engineer with background in automotive, medical and more recently, aerospace sectors. I bring more than 10 years of hardware development knowledge, with hands-on experience in turning proof of concepts into products in the market.
in 2024, I created my own company to help clients close gaps in their development efforts, while reinvesting my company's earnings in equipment and boosting my own education.
here are some examples of products I helped develop:
